Tribute to composers of the 19th and 20th centuries

Young musicians from the Minsk conservatoire.

Young people take centre stage for the opening of the summer festival: twelve talented musicians aged only from 13 to 18 years old but all of them already winners of national and international competitions and recipients of major awards. Many of them have now joined the conservatoires of Moscow, St Petersburg and Minsk and the musical academies of Warsaw and Krakow.

Directed by Kiryl Keduk, a young pianist of international renown and winner of numerous international awards who was born 30 years ago to a musician father and orchestra conductor mother, this young orchestra has performed in prestigious concert halls in Belarus and neighbouring countries. For 2017, they have chosen to widen the geographical perimeter of their tours, which gives us the pleasure of welcoming them to the Vendredis Classiques.
During this superb concert they invite us on a journey through the universe of the great composers of both western and eastern Europe : Joseph Haydn, Jean Sibelius, Fritz Kreisler, Piotr Ilitch Tchaïkovski, Jan Dawid Holland, Valeri Ibrahimovitch Saparov, Michał Kleofas Ogiński … not forgetting a little detour via Latin America with Astor Piazzola.
